Here’s some good news coming out of the Ocean State - aka Rhode Island. RI has decided to add more touch-free sunscreen dispensers to its beaches and parks. Big ups to RI, the birth place of Block Island Organics.
Rhode Island is tripling the number of dispensers and they’re being sent to the following cities and towns across the state:
- Central Falls
- Charlestown
- Coventry
- Jamestown
- North Kingstown
- Pawtucket
- Providence
- South Kingstown
- Warren
- Westerly
According to RI’s governor Dan Mckee:
“There are some scary statistics on the prevalence and consequences of skin cancer, but through this winning coalition of caring partners, I am proud to say that the state of Rhode Island will help save lives”
We couldn’t agree more – sunscreen saves lives! One other great thing about these dispensers is that they will each have directions in both English and Spanish.
Now if you visit the Ocean State and forget to bring sunscreen – you’ll be in luck. And always remember to apply sunscreen to all sun exposed skin and reapply every two hours. It’s great advice to live by.
So there you have it, RI doing its part to spread some sunscreen support and love. For even more sunscreen tips and how-tos, check out our Suncare Smarts series.
