Started in 2001, this year marks the 17th annual Block Island Music Festival. It’s a six day event starting today that features free music, over 40 acts and free food too. Plus this week on The Block is also the island’s annual Restaurant Week and the bi-annual Race Week - a sailboat race from the mainland, around the island, and back.

The Dates
June 13th – June 18th, 2017
The Scoop
The event is free to all and starts at 5 PM everyday on the outdoor Sunshine Stage at Captain Nick’s. A BBQ pit with free food (while it lasts) will also be set up each day. When the sun goes down things move inside and keep rolling until 1 AM. Folks under 21 are allowed in until 9 PM.
