Sunny Travels: Holidays with Family

by kelly / January, 7 2015 01:30
Will and I are back from our whirlwind holiday travels. We hit up three families, ate lots of food and perfected our tennis game (not really but we got to play tennis after a three year hiatus from the sport). Luckily our travels were within the tri-state area and we were happy to spend quality time with our families. [More]

Sunny Travels: Thanksgiving in New York

by kelly / December, 3 2014 01:30
Are you all still stuffed from Thanksgiving? I still am - I've been eating leftovers for four days straight! But then that's the beauty of Thanksgiving, lots of food, family and friends (oh and shopping if you braved the Black Friday sales). This year Will and I spent Thanksgiving at my parent's house. My sister, my nieces and my brother-in-law stayed with my parents as well. Needless to say it was a full house. [More]

Sunny Travels: Uncle Will and Aunt Kelly do Halloween with the Nieces

by kelly / November, 5 2014 01:30
This weekend I felt like a kid again. I got to trick or treat for the first time in almost 20 years! Now don't go trying to calculate my age, my young looks do to years of sunscreen use will deceive you. Ha! Will and I visited my sister, brother-in-law and three nieces for Halloween. It was the most fun Halloween I've had in a long time. [More]

Sunny Travels: Palm Springs, California

by kelly / September, 24 2014 01:30
Our Block Island Organics sunny travel adventures continued over Labor Day weekend with a trip to Palm Springs, California. Yes we packed in two trips at the end of the summer. I'm thankful that we got to experience another great destination although it was hot! The average temperature in Palm Springs in the summer is around 110 degrees. The heat is no joke! That's because Palm Springs is located in the desert within the Coachella Valley (yes where the famous music festival takes place that bears that same name) about 100+ miles east of Los Angeles. But we were able to still enjoy our time in Palm Springs and work around the weather. With our sunscreen packed, and you needed lots of it, we headed to sunny Palm Springs! [More]

Sunny Travels: Miami Beach, St. Martin and Anguilla

by kelly / September, 3 2014 01:30
It's officially the end of summer. I know, it makes me sad as well. Of course just because the summer is over, doesn't mean you should stop wearing sunscreen. Sunscreen should be worn year round. Sorry for the plug, but you know I had to. Anyway, I hope you all got in some sunny travels this summer. We sure did at Block Island Organics. This summer Will and I got to attend the wedding of my college friend. It was a destination wedding in St. Martin, an island in the Caribbean. The wedding was amazing and the location beautiful. I also go to spend quality time reminiscing and bonding with my college friends, something we haven't all done together in about 10 years. [More]

Sunny Travels: We Hit New Orleans

by Will / April, 16 2014 01:30
From time to time we like to talk about something not related to sunscreen, this week is one of those times. Instead, let's talk about The Big Easy. Kelly and I were there this past week for a wedding. I must admit it wasn't my fist time in New Orleans as I went to college there but it's always great to go back! Particularly when a bunch of old friends are in town. [More]
