FDA Passes on New Sunscreen Ingredients

Back in November Congress passed the Sunscreen Innovation Act. Its aim is to speed up the approval process for new sunscreen ingredients. In particular, it's been 25 years since any new ingredient was approved and eight ingredients have been waiting over 12 years for approval. Broad Spectrum Sunscreen - What It Is and Why It's a Must

Whether you call it sunblock or sunscreen, you might not know what "mineral" means. Well, I'm here to shed some light on the subject. At its most basic it means a sunscreen where the active ingredients are titanium dioxide and / or zinc oxide - ingredients found on mother earth. What is an active ingredient?
